OMG!!!! OMG!!!!
I am SO sorry, everyone.
I didn't read this thread after I quit Werner. I forgot about it til I was emailed that there was a response.
I will go through all the responses I never answered and pm you with the answers.
As for the last one! I'm sorry=( I wish you the best! Hang in there. Once you get the truck, ask for Mark Fjeld to be your dispatcher. Best out there for Werner.

Heck if I know, I just drove em=D -
Getting home was a fight, but they got me there. Day coming in and day going out counted, and there weren't many days they had me in before 5pm.
So 3 days at home if I remember right. -
What were the good and bad things you have seen so far with Werner? I know that a lot of negative things have been said already about Werner, but I'd be interested in what you've seen personally.
Also, could you please clarify what you mean by "THE WAIT IN THE ROOM IS BAD FOR YOU"?
Also, could you please clarify what you mean by "Dont let them take any backing from you"? -
I'm guessing he means that the long waits in the hotel are really bad. I remember that, while waiting for a trainer, it was a LOOONG wait, up to a week. And in the dead up winter, with nothing to do but sit in a bar or stay in the room to watch tv where we're not allowed to purchase alcohol...or stay in the room to watch tv and sleepveg.
Between trainers is just as bad. -
the worst company ever

Thanks for the reply. Hanging around doing nothing for a week makes for a very long week! Who pays for the time in the hotel, anyway, you or the company? And do you get paid while waiting?
I've been trying to keep up with your posts, Fyrstar. The first ones I came across were written while you were fretting about whether you'd survive CDL school. You've gained a lot of confidence since then, and it's good to see that. I hope all is going well for you.

like Fry said, the wait in the room with nothing....nothing at all to do but hear what others have to say. an most of that will be bad. you also think of "i could be home doing this".
a lot of trainers will give you the open road part of a run, they drive to shipper, they back up and have you get out and unhook or what ever. once loaded they drive to the open road and say here. when you get there they take over and finish the run. you will need all the backing into docks or open places you can. do not let them do this to you. if the truck backs up, you need to be the one doing it.
the paperless logs are good, once you figure out how to do them. you can fudge about an hour a day from them. so far i like that part.
the truck i am on has not had any problem getting miles, but it comes in sperts. you will get an 1100 mile run. you do that and you will get around 6 hours down time, then you will get a few crap 300 mile runs. moving trailers or something. do that and then you get another 1100 or 1700 mile run. it is something like that over and over. so far we keep moving, i like that. -
Werner pays for the hotel room unless you want it all to yourself, then it's $15 a night. 2 years ago. You get paid $40 a day while waiting.
Paperless logs are BAD!!!! I hate it when it kicks you to line 4 and you've been sleeping..... and fudging? I saw your post before you edited it where you had said that you never fudge. Why would you remove that? If Werner were ever to see that you fudged, you could get fired! Put that back on there! -
spending the weekend in Phoenix. really wish it were in Texas but....
werner is paying half of my room. i want it all to myself so...i pick up the other half.
i dont mind the paperless log, you can get a few hours a day extra if you do it rght.
you just have to be careful.
