2007 Century, how can I find out the history on this truck other than asking the dealer for a computer read out? Is there a website to go to?

    Thanks Bill

Has anybody had any bad dealings with Select Of Cleveland Ohio?

Unless you can see marks in the paint from the old company name or stickers, the F/liner computer system printed history via VIN number is about it.

Yeah, so many trucks spread all over the U.S. at various dealers. Remember, companies sell or trade 500 at a whack. Some dealers put them on the lot with basically just a wash job. Others detail them pretty good or paint them or paint just the fenders etc. And then consider the current years model is introduced in May the previous year. But date of Mfg. is on the door jam. If ever there was a crap shoot, buying used is it.

Thanks for the info. Car fax has three reports on the truck but to get it I'll need to dish out $40.00. Think it was a trade in from JB flatbed division. Low miles, good over condition, factory white with one year warranty. Dealer Select, gone through pretty good. Changed oil, tranny, rears, new door seals. A 146 check inspection what every that means. Don't know everything they check but I'm thinking thing's like brakes, heater, air, lights and so on. I've heard good thing's about SELECT. This is the one in Cleveland Ohio.

I would prefer to buy from that kind of dealer, since changing the rears oil isn't all that common. You do get some kind of warranty also.

Dont waste you money on car fax Most companies have their own maintenance and will never report to car fax ask the dealer for the previous owner and call them and get maintenance report. I wasted my money on car fax because it showed three(3) reports and the reports was 1) Title Issued 2) Registration Issued 3) No Recalls open for Repair. Only thing dealer had on truck was it had been in for AC repairs asked them for previous owner and they faxed me the maintenance report

You will pay thousands more from Select Trucks or Arrow than you will from an independent dealer. Forget the warranty and save the $$$... IMHO.
