My first truck, 2003 Pete 385 that with any luck will be rolling along later this week. It is pretty plain, but very quiet & has 647k on the ecm.

My question though is, where or how do find all the salvage yards? Have looked around Heavy Truck Parts dot net, but thinking there has to be a few that are not listed. Just need some odds 'n ends that would rather look around the yards than Peterbilt special order stuff.

Posted a bit about this elsewhere, but replaced the Radiator & Charge Air Cooler this week. Also got the condensor, but will install it in the spring when the AC gets recharged. Still works, but definitely needs a boost before it warms back up.

A couple things to note to speed things up, all the hoses line up, so you can have those cut & ready to go. I did not want to throw out $50 or so in hoses to be a bit short.

Since you are dumping the antifreeze, change the thermostat(s) & order the grommets between the Radiator/CAC & the upper support posts from the dealer. Used the old ones on mine, but did not know what came with the new system.

Also put on a new upper coolant tube from bhtubes as the old one had some garbage in it & did not want something to drop down in the thermostat housing.

Replace the line running between the compressor & motor. Cat stocks them for some reason. Hmmm
