Dispatch can alter your elogs but I don't think you can, so they may try to pull that on you. With elogs becoming more popular and in some cases mandatory, you might find yourself able to run perfectly legal but you might spend a lot of time sitting.

I just loaded at Cargill. Left the house at 7 am and was back by 830. I'm not leaving til after lunch. But there is no way I'm starting my time at 7 this morning. That would be stupid. I'll start my time maybe an hour before I leave to show loading.

There's nothing "wrong" with doing it the way I am. Maybe it is "illegal". If so it is a crock. I have no time stamps on my BoL or CoA. I'll qualcomm my load an hour or so before I leave and be all set. Why start my time at 7 this morning and in the process screw myself the rest of the day?
I've only been OTR for a few months but it's pretty simple to realize sometimes you have to push the pencil to get things done. Nowhere do I say be unsafe. And how I'm logging today is not unsafe.
You shouldn't make statements/take soap box unless you actually know what you are talking about.Everett Thanks this. -

It's refreshing to read that not everyone will risk everything for a few bucks...Rerun said the same, he logs it as it happens...

Until your actually out driving OTR dealing with all of the BS one deals with through out the day, your opinion is uninformed and is not based off of anything with substance, such as experience.
