Sometimes where I have to go to get to a customer scares the crap out of me.

Be driving along thinking "it better be down this road because there ain't nowhere to turn this big byatch around!"

I'm reading how people enjoyed that story, and it was well written.

However, I don't enjoy reading about someone's opinions of others, since I'm on the wrong end of that stick for different reasons quite a bit. I do bathe, though, and still have 85% of my teeth=D I did training at Werner for 4 weeks, and some things I saw....

The biggest flaw about Werner's training program? That students can see trainer's report before filling out their own. In fact, the student carries the report with them to the main office. How many trainers are going to give the bad review?

Sorry if I missed the humor, but talking awful about people to make others laugh is in no way at all funny to me. I mean, really. My eyes were glazing after I read about the third Werner person's problems in training. One wise person told me that if you see how screwed up everyone else is, but you see nothing wrong with yourself, then YOU are the wierd one in the group.

I used to work for Werner, and those poor guys don't make enough money to afford anything.

I'm off topic, I'll step off my pedestal now and rejoin the masses. Just my two cents.

Its more disgusting than anything. I work at Werner and from time to time I do see guys like the trainer in the story. I feel sad for them more than anything. You're right about the pay, lol

hey fyrstar i no where ur coming from but the thing that kills me is that u see and smell these guys in truck stops getting fuel so u no they got showers on there card and just dont care to take 10 minutes out of there day to clean them selves up. i guess as long as the companies let them get away with it we get to laugh at the stories...and if those guys dont care about there apperance why sould u. i dont see how that pertains to u if u keep urself cleaned up,that guy he was talking about was a pig......

I greatful for you people and for sharing you experiences with your co's and training. There is nothing like hearing it from someone who has actually been there.

I would think it was funny also but I could have written that letter myself (albiet not so eloqently) The only difference would have been swift instead of werner, but stink is stink. I got done with my mentor just in time to keep from going to prison for life. one more day with that ####### and I would have to have bought a shovel(wonder if it would have been reimbursible?) Things are better now. whew

It's only 3 miles --- back 'er up, driver. :biggrin_25525:

If a bad review is warranted, I would hope any trainer would be fair and accurate in their evaluation(s). I would, and did, write not-so-good reviews, and flat failed two. I figure if the front office doesn't trust my judgment, they shouldn't have given me a badge and a title.

I'm waitin' for the Trainee(s) From Hail -- From A Trainer's Perspective book to be written.

    Not even a smile?
Nobody was named in the story and it didn't seem to be directed at any one person,....... just describing observations.
Where's the harm that's so awful?
    Wise indeed!

    General George Patton said,
    "When everybody thinks alike,
    somebody isn't thinking".
Say, .................... would you mind if I borrow your pedestal occasionally? I keep forgettin' where I left mine once I step off the top ic of it. :biggrin_25525:

    Now thars a thought,..................
If trainees show up on their first day with a folding shovel the trainer is bound to ask what it's for.
The trainee could then inform the trainer that if that information were to be divulged, the trainee would be forced to use it, which would answer the question in a rather graphic way. :smt075
    Ya reckon.
    :laughing-guffaw:

i needed that laugh...thanks so much i had a mental of every bit of what you were trying to relay. My husband works for Werner and like most say werner sucks..they dont care about thier drivers. my husband has spent more time with truck in the shop then driving his biggiest paycheck was 625.00 and the lost was yesterday at 23.00. he has been driving for 14 yrs and never been treated so bad. he use to train for werner in the past and has never been treated this bad. he is heading back home to where we have to drive all the way to atlanta to pick him up.

I'd like to know where you can park your truck, get your stuff together and get a shower in 10 minutes. I've very rarely, in my 23 years, went more than a second day without a shower, but it does happen.

Old Flatbedder Joke: How can you tell if a flatbedder is eating fried chicken? The tips of his fingers are clean :)

Sorry, flatbedders. (I did a few years of it myself)..LOL
