Nice KW
My color too, you can park it at my house and leave the keys on the counter. I'll happily just 'drive it around the block' a few times. ^.^

What get's me is they won't hire people who are overwieght but Hire Smokers(A health risk that is complete choice) if you trying to cut insurance cost stop hiring smokers!
-
Typical response to anything the guv'mint or any other authority figure passes as policy: point your finger at the other guy and whine, "What about him?"
I would rather smoke chemical free tobacco products than be fat. It's not the tobacco that's the problem. It's the formaldehyde, cyanide, artificial flavoring and other.....stuff added to the tobacco that's the problem.AfterShock Thanks this. -
Dont forget those with ingrown toe nails.
Cancer of any sort (Moles and 'birth marks' are cancer for the record as are cysts)
And people who need glasses! Oh my god they could fall off, and the costs of those eye exams?!

It can easily be put to the 'bottom line'
If I weigh 200lbs and you weigh 400 lbs, at the scales thats another 1/8th a pallet of coke or pepsi!
-
Good point TruckerDragon! Maybe the overweight driver can get a waiver for the extra poundage like they grant for APU's. I saw a large driver once who walked across the CAT scale and was charged for a first weigh!
-
Really? I'll have to try and remember to walk around the scale next time I use one for a shortcut!
-
You said fat. That hurts my feelings and makes me think you no longer love me. *stomps my foot and goes to file a lawsuit so I can own your truck and get a financial settlement*
Being greatly overweight isn't healthy. I can say this without any shame as I am overweight. We all need to be willing to take personal responsibility for our choices and actions, not try to turn it into some type of discrimination. Now if it wasn't a matter of health then it would be wrong. -
As a smoker if I were to apply to a company for a job I wanted bad enough and they said they couldn't hire me because I smoke. I would do what I had to i.e. patches, acupuncture, chantix, etc to quit so I would be qualified. If that is company policy I wouldn't start screaming discrimination. This is getting as bad as people suing McDonalds because big macs made their child overweight.Ducks and Texas-Nana Thank this.

I agree. The company has the right to determine who they hire.
The flip side is what if all companies started doing that... and you found that quitting smoking took you longer than anticipated. Say, oh... a year or better? Or you just couldn't -- despite your best efforts -- couldn't do it? Or afford the patches, Chantix, whatever...
So... other than smoking, you're healthy. Do you wind up living on public assistance since you are now unemployable?
It's not a good scenario.Texas-Nana and stlcardsfn Thank this.
