Normally it really isn't the larger quallcomm companies that you have to worry about. it's the smaller companies and that is where you as a SOLO driver make money...and the only way to do it is to be creative at times.
Nobody really wants to run "outlaw" but we have all done it and will do it because that's how you make money running LTL over the road.....you just gotta know when to pull over and sleep and then make sure your comic book looks as legal as it can....match your fuel stops....and not push your luck.

I actually thought I was right and they were wrong. But then when it hit me what I was doing wrong I felt like a complete moron. lol A friend was doing the exact same thing so I called him and he had already been informed.rocknroll nik Thanks this. -
doing a split break sucks anymore
-
¨We really need you to take this load buddy. We got no one else close and this is a very important account for the company. We really need you to come through for us on this. We already discussed it with safety and we can change -this- and -that- on your e log and give you those few hours you need to run it.¨
You´re going to say what? -
I called safety once on one of these type loads and they told me:
We have to do what we have to do in order to stay in business. You like your job? -
under a "legal" log, a team truck will sit still each day for a minimum of 2 hours... and thats IF both drivers use their full 11.
most times I have already learned that if you run 8 hours (on the log) and avg 550 miles, the truck isnt sitting still for long... (other than biology breaks and fuel stops)
I understand about what everyone is saying about adjustments.... BUT... from what I have seen, it is MUCH more problematic in a team atmosphere than solo...
I will strive to be as legal and as straight forward as I can and still make money.... (I refuse to settle for truck stop food, less living quarters, and 3 showers a week for minimum wage)
I will however put up with them for a decent price....
I am not a greedy person... but I DO want as much money as I can get while I am on the road. HOWEVER... I am not going to do what I have been "trained" to do thus far... -
But, when you are in training, you are at the mercy of the trainer.
It is good to have the good intentions and I truly hope you can stick by them. -

Brother..there is no doubt that the high road is less travelled.
Still the upright keeps on his way, and he who has clean hands gets new strength.
