Hopefully your information. Look closely, some companies are bad about putting info that does not even belong to you. Wrecks, incidents, etc.

Any employeer's that you have worked for (mainly trucking companies), dates of employment, why you left (they have options to select) I know them things are listed. THey have changed the regulations from the last time I did them (years and years ago) but DAC is for any trucking company who is connected with them. When you quit a company will fill out a form (made out by DAC) and send it to them. DAC is like a Credit report, but is a job report
I hope that enlightens you a little on it. -
Thank you both for your input!
I have another question. About 5 yrs ago I applied for a job with a tanker company, got hired and took their physical and was disqualified because I failed the pulmonary function test. Any idea if this will show up on a DAC and if the company is required to report in detail the reason's for failing the physical?
After being out of the business for 10 yrs I'm at a disadvantage from the get go. I am probably going to have to go thru a retraining program, along with the fact that my prior experience will not be considered regarding a starting pay scale. The retraining aspect I fully understand, but the pay scale situation is a little frustrating.
The last thing I want to deal with is incorrect or outdated information on a DAC report. -
I am not really sure about how long it stays on the report. I would say life time, but I thought (again thought) I read in a thread (on here) that it stays for 10 years? I don't know how true this would be if they are looking for job history, but then again most companies only require the previous 7 to 10?
They don't go into "detail" it is left basic which can in return umm "mess you up" if they make it sound worse on the option they select. The company can require more information in writting. If you look under the regulations thread there is a sticky at the top in how to order your DAC, maybe you need to order it and see what it says so you know for sure what the company has said about you (if they even report to dac?) and you will know what info is on them.
I think you get one free. The thread is stickied at the top (at least last time I checked)
