If you have a current prescription, and do not need Bi-focals I would just got to Walmart and get some cheap ones till you have more money.
You should get out the door for less than a hundred bucks. Or go to cheap eyeglasses dot com. They are cheap, but you will have to get them shipped to you.
But you can get a pair for under 50 bucks there, or much less if you do not need much.

They are all mixed up now.
For company drivers they use to buy Volvo's. Now they went and bought some Prostars.
But allot of company drivers are in off lease Pete's and KW's. w900's, T2000 mostly for the off lease ones.
The Volvo's are 670s, but most are getting up to trade time.

    leatherman and BlackNova Thank this.

Can you tell me what a comdata card is?

I'll be on a pretty tight budget myself and was hoping to be able to get some cheap food from a grocery store like ramen noodles, peanut butter and bread, oatmeal, and some fresh fruit. Is there a fridge and/or microwave in the room they put you in?

The comdata card is like a company debit card it is where they put the money you get paid. You can do direct deposit it just takes longer to receive your money. Its used as a debit card you create a pin and you can use it pretty much anywhere.

There is a walmart that the shuttle will take you too and a winco that's close to the terminal as well. There are no refrigerators in the rooms unless you get lucky when you go to the econolodge and there is only one room i know of that has a fridge and microwave. in building 2 there is a microwave in the payphone room next to dispatch. Now in building 5 there is a refrigerator but I have never tried leaving anything in there because it is the break room above the shop and you might lose it to one of the techs in the shop.

Well I got a call from my trainer today. He is dropping a load tomorrow at 7am then coming to the terminal. We will most likely be headed out Friday. I'm a little nervous and excited at the same time. Just have to wait and see.

You should try Walmart. They do have some inexpensive prices on glasses. You can also try lens crafters. They can usually make them right there.

You also have to remeber that CA and Or have different fuel requirements. I always get 10-15% better milage in my truck when im in Utah and Colorado. Just a thought.

Also elevation plays a key role. The higher you get the thinner the air.
