If they say it's unlimited, READ the fine print and make sure it's unlimited.

I have had Alltel, which was just alright, until they were bought out by Verizon. Then Verizon sold 10% to other companies per FCC mandate and the small rinky dink company that bought ours had sucky coverage. I then tried Sprint with their new 3g/4g air card and I believe the card was defective because service was really terrible all over, even inside the bigger cities. So, I dropped them and now have Verizon. I am totally happy with their service and their customer support! I am paying $60 a month for 5 gig but I recently read that they are lowering that plan to $50.

I tether my laptop to my Motorola Droid. Much cheaper than any air card....

I use a Sprint sierra wireless 250U usb card. gets 3g and 4g when it is available. I have hooked it up to 5 home computers at once and been able to play World of Warcraft on all 5 computers at the same time. As far as coverage I went coast to coast and only found 2 spots where it was 1xrtt otherwise always 3g or better. My HTC EVO sprint phone has same internet connection too. very nice but make sure to get sprints brand not the nextel crap that sprint sells. worthless if it's worth that much...

They are but only for the Mifi. $50 for 5 gigs, and the overage charges will only be $10 a gig after 5. So essentially, your getting an extra gig for the old $60 price. This is supposed to go in effect on or after October 28th. That's the rumor. That price is all ready in effect for the Mifi/iPad bundle they started selling two weeks ago.

I have a laptop, that i use with Time Warner cable set up. It uses a usb-plug in device to get a signal. It comes with a CD for set up. i have a two year contract only because my cable tv, and home phone are on the same bill. My opinion of it is ok at best. The software that is sent, is not the best i have used by a long shot. and getting a signal is hard sometimes. I am running a new lap top with windows 7. Hope this is some help.

I just looked into this. This looks like a great deal. $50 for unlimited, and they have a free usb device or a $50 wifi device. The only catch is you have to live in an area where they will sell it to you, and I don't :(

I have the MiFi which I got on September 26th. I wonder if they will give me the $50 price even though my 2 year contract is for $59.99? I believe I will check into that.

To anyone interested....We are in W. Virginia, just went through the 2 tunnels on I-77 and I never lost my internet connection. All the way up here through Fancy Gap I have had a strong and steady connection. Neither Alltel nor Sprint could do that.(in defense of Sprint...I do believe I had a faulty air card)

Speaking of Sprint....I sent the device back within the 30 day trial period and yesterday I got an email saying they were sending me back the monthly payment I made. I think they figured out the air card was bad and I had 1 month of no service/bad service. Kudos to Sprint.

Ugh I posted way too soon, found out earlier today Sprint did away with unlimited mobile broadband service. Hit 300 mb roam playing wow in north platter, ne. Sprint blocked my service until Nov 15. Called them and cancelled my plan. Hoping to find something with same plan and descent service myself now.
