I've heard mostly bad ... But I have never pulled for them
Check out the BAD company section do a detailed search may bring up some dead threads about them -
The only good I ever heard was many years ago.
Sorry can't help with any info !! -
I worked for them in the late '90s for 18 months (3 different times). They actually came to me asking me to come back to work the last time and I did! At that time, they were so-so. It was hard to get home time and you had to throw your log book out the window. Now fast forward to 2010 and all I can say is ownership is still the Stubbs family (since '46). Beyond that, I can't help you.

Starts out good(in orientation) then rapidly goes to the other two as soon as you're in a truck.
They had a safety man who couldn't figure logs......I came into Dallas out of hours and was asked to prove it and he couldn't figure out why.....couldn't add to 70 without or with a calculator.
It's the same as a lot of other starter companies.......your warning has been issued.Big Duker Thanks this. -
Not much good. Lots of freight and lots of problems. And yours are the last they will want to deal with. Can work for some people but they grind them up pretty fast. Has been that way since the early 80's.

They are ok if you don't mind running in New York City all of the time. Their company trucks are ok if your just out of a driving school getting your time in. But I wouldn't make a career with them.

FFE. i worked only for 6 months at Frozen Food Express (FFE).
Did 6 weeks training with them on my own for 5 months. My first job and my favorite so far. My 2nd trucking job In lincoln illinois problems....but yea orientation was smooth. Paid. They put you in the red roof inn. You have to share rooms but sometimes i got the room to myself or you can pay the other half of the price which is 21+tax to get the room all to your self for sure. FFE Training was pretty good. I had four different trainers the first was local driver 2nd went on vacation his name was josh he was good trainer young guy. 3rd Local guy again and 4th was final trainer. My 4th trainer..i was his first trainee. I was with the 4th guy 2weeks. It was kinda hard for me to deal with him it was a long 2 weeks with this trainer JEFF. It was disturbing to get different trainer they all are so different and last one was different/hyper. We didn't get along very well at times. WE eventually adapted and moved foward smother. Stayed in the hotel few more days to get prepared for you own truck. I got a american eagle truck 2007. It was a good truck they are governed at 62 pretty slow that sucked. I hate the trailer washes that come by pulling refrigerated frieght. As for fueling a reefer you get more points and showers if needed by purchasing tractor and reefer fuel. FFE fuels at pilots, loves the most then Petro and a few TA's. They will give you a 180.00 a week if you need an advance. Oh yea training pay it was at first 2 weeks 750.00 next 2 weeks 800.00 Last two weeks 1000.00. They run legal. They use a qualcom those things are annoying but sometimes it's nice not hafting to talk to a person just type to them. I went coast to coast drove prolly 35 states. New York City Once in brooklyn, bronx, long island. Many times in the east like boston penn,Vermont,New Jersey, new york, lot of buisness in the east. Most driver hate it i did. Hard to find places to park in the east. Tight roads to drive on and try not to make a wrong turn in boston or new york city....if you don't know the area....never know what your going to run into. I mostly ran oreagon, washington, nebraska, and alot of central. I didn't like that i was a truckload driver and not a LTL driver gave me a bunch of loads with multiple stops. Dealing with lumper reciepts....well getting your money back for them can be a hassle. Pay was average if your new to driver or good if you become a trainer. Maintainance on truck good. They are getting alot of new trucks. Internationals. They have alot of freight liners...thats what i had. They bought out Lisa motor lines and American Eagle lines so You could be driving one of the three trucks. Home time sucked 21-28 days out for me....4 days off. Thats a long time if you have family at home. Yea i liked them all in all. Older Driver had it good now it's kinda like a swift or BiG ORANGE company type better then werner....Werner is prolly the slowest trucks on the road. Good company....Flawless no....Better out there....definatly....but average it's got pro's and con's. Later -
