And this is nothing new. When I was a teen, I had a 1954 Dodge. Had pretty much the same thing happen to me, except I caught on before the car's owner showed up. I'll tell you, I have never made a longer walk than the one getting from that car to my car. Every step, expecting somebody to run out of a store and kick my backside for being in their car. . .

My confrontation wasn't bad at all. We both laughed at it. The car was a Pontiac and both were the same models and colors and both cars were clean inside, so it took a moment to dawn on me that it wasn't mine.
Big Don Thanks this. -
Stealing is bad....but there are many ways to do it. Many anti-theft devices are coming in the market now a days with new features to guarantee zero thefts. But even they cannot guarantee you 100% safety.

We can't keep thieves out of our warehouses with razorwire. The best deterrent we've found is keeping the lights on which runs up the electric. I think a nice cuddly pitbull might help also.
Bottom line, don't steal please. -
I like your idea a lot!! Only problem is most of the companies I no about do not allow animals in the cab. At least Stevens Transport took that one away.

And here I thought this report was going tobe about stealing trucks off the fuel island.

certain stupid companies order all there trucks with the same key. there theory is if a driver locks there keys out another driver can swing by and unlock it for them. but you can see where the big problem comes in. say if the pumpkin patch did this any driver or ex driver could easily break into another pumpkin and no one would be the wiser as to who did it. -
More companies than you think.
Mine had to be parked at the yard because I lived less than 100 miles away.
I always took anything of value out.
Especially after someone spent the weekend in the truck smoking and listening to the radio which was never on.
