I do realize this but finding a O/O selling a truck in a short time frame is almost impossible. I've tried that & got on the CB every day for a month with out any luck. I also put a wanted ad on here with out the 1st reply. I've been told the same thing by others about the warranty. Surely they have to honer the warranty that's in writing?

Went to pick up the truck today with check in hand but something told me to take one last test drive before handing over the check...GLAD I DID. Had them to open it up and as soon as I got into it the turbo let go.. Took it back and left. End of story.
JimTheHut Thanks this. -
Just ask the dealer which fleet they bought it from and then try to contact that fleet's maintenance, maybe they'll be kind enough and shed a light on your vehicle. As for the price, I agree with Krooser for the most part. Do some comparison shopping, wont' hurt.
Make sure you are comparing apples to apples

Looking for a truck on the CB? You are kidding, right? How about www.truckpaper.com ...
I would sooner get an oil analysis and a dyno report to judge the condition of a truck rather than spending $$$ on a warranty. The dealer IS charging for the warranty in his price... and it's costing you dearly. Most warrantees exempt almost everything except catastrophic failures of major components...
Here's a dealer who sells higher mileage trucks for good prices.. if you pay more than this you paid too much IMHO. www.baskintrucksales.com
BTW... I have no interest in this dealer... as a matter of fact I put a deposit on a '93 Pete he had for sale and he sold out from under me!!! -
1ST off I see nothing wrong with getting on the CB asking other truckers if they know of anybody trying to unload on a truck. Higher mileage trucks I won't even consider. 500,000 or less. This isn't my 1st go around, this will be my 9th truck over the years but six out of eight was brand new. I've never had such a problem finding a truck as I have this go around.

Geez... there are thousands out there for sale right now... get on the phone... call the dealers... use Truck Paper....
I'm looking for a few older flat floor grain trailers to modify to use a green bean/sweet corn haulers for next season. I made a few phone calls and didn't have any luck.
Then I stopped at a used truck dealer in SE MO a few weeks ago... he said he has had several farmers wanting to trade theirs but there are not very much in demand around there. He can get me four with one phone call and maybe a dozen more with a little time... make those calls... talks to the dealers and ASK about what you are looking for.
