I have a 48 ft Timpte spread axle and would like to install a dump valve that dumps the airbags on my rear axle to improve my turning and also to help save on tires. I would prefer to do this myself. Where do I find an electric dump valve and does anyone have any suggestions of which one to get? Thanks!

just be aware that putting all the load on the forward axle will usually void any warranty the trailer has.

Correct...I only plan on using this dump valve to turn sharp corners and to help save my tires...

Anyone know a good dump valve to get...or where I can get one online?

Trailer repair shops have them. Should be about a 100 bucks I think.

Any trailer parts store should have them. You need a "Normally Open" solenoid valve.

Don't worry about the warranty if it ever becomes an issue just remove it. They've been used since air ride was invented.

You can probably find it cheaper locally but if you want to buy it online here is a link.

I usually use the solenoid valve in the link (or one similar) and a quick release valve. Most solenoid valves only have an port size of about 1/8" (they say 1/4 but that is the threaded hole size not the port the air dumps through) so they will dump slow. But if you put it ahead of a quick release valve it will dump fast which helps save tires because you don't have to dump it way before you turn and risk sliding the tires with the brakes.
Here is a link to a quick release valve (I've bought them as cheap as $8.00)
And since that link doesn't have a picture here is a link with a pic.

I advice you Wabco. Ask for a tag axe Valve, electric (12 V for the USA, 24V for EU) ore mechanical.

Electric valves are used with Load sensors ore load switches (for example Wabco 441 014 025 0). If you have EBS, dealer may add load and speed related dumping, if you have Wabco VCS-II you can program it to dump rear axe air at lower 5-7 MPH speed.

But dump valve is used with small pressure limiting valve (usually 0.2BAR). It is used to fill air springs with air with low pressure to avoid jamming and damaging them.

All that is way overkill for just wanting to dump the bags on one axle to turn.:biggrin_2555:

Well, one more time... wanna easy solution? for cheap! ore may be for free?

No problem! ABS valve from any JY! there are 2 solenoids - drain air and hold. Use only drain solenoid

    This is very simple way!
