Hi,I'm new here and have a question, also to say THANKS in advance for helpful responses.
I have a valid CDL and I'm trying to find out if there are any good companies that give paid training.
I really don't want to have to go to school all over again and owe thousands for 3 weeks of half ##sed training.
So Guys and Dolls, can you help me out and tell me of some Truck companies that do paid training? Plus I feel if I'm able to do this,I'll be earning a paycheck and learning probably a lot more and better than when I was in the driver training school!
To everyone who can help,THANKS!![]()
Paid training please give me some help, thanks

First off, welcome to the forum. Make yourself at home and make some friends!
On to your question....You have a CDL and want to go to school? If you have your CDL, then you should be able to sign on with a company that hires CDL graduates. Go through their orientation and spend time sharpening your skills on the road with a trainer.
...or am I missing something here? -
Yes I need to re-train,the school I went to went out of business because they weren't training right, they were breaking some rules, but this was after I had graduated from there in 2008.
Now I want to find a company to go with that will give me training and pay while training if possible. Since it's been over a year from training at the former school,I need to start again. I don't mind either,I just prefer to go on and learn and get paid while learning again if I can,so I'm trying to find out if there's any decent companies out there that do paid training.
Thanks for your reply and helpful info!

hey l2d2011, from what I can tell is there really aren't any companies that pay you while you are in your cdl training. But there are some that offer a set pay for when you are otr with a trainer from that company. Other companies offer pay for any day you have orientation with them.

Stevens Transport doesnt pay you while your in class for 3 weeks, but they do loan you $70.00 a week to eat, and they finance the hotel, bus ticket and the cost of the school with no credit check. Then its $350.00 a week training pay while you drive with a trainer for 10 weeks.
