    So here's the deal, obtained my CDL with HazMat the end of 2007. (also have tanker and D&T) Over two years verifiable OTR experience with what was a spotless record.
    After a divorce earlier this year I went to go back to work for Prime and they claim I tested positive for THC. However, I haven't "smoked" in years....I know I know, that's what they all say. Well I will say this, I offered to take a hair test that would go back 12 months to prove my innocence as whatever happened to cause this it was totally wrong!!!
    It was given to me by a guy in driver line-up after hours, I could not provide an adequate sample the first time and yet he kept the first sample and later mixed it with the second sample. I questioned him on that, but he assured me it was fine. Regardless of what happened I have since researched this through DOT drug testing regulations and learned that there were no less than 3 violations that were clearly broken when this supposed dirty UA was put on my record. Therefore I have a case pending disputing this and will fight until it is off my DAC. (case#03939503)

    Until then I do need and want to return to driving so I am hoping to find someone out of the KC, MO area with a small fleet who doesn't consider the DAC to be Gospel! I am also willing to consider running team with an Independant driver as long as we are compatible.

    Update;

    I am so happy to say that "By the Grace of God" I won that case through HireRight and this dirty UA has been taken off and replaced with employee quit/discharged during orientation/probation. :biggrin_25514: So for all of you who feel your screwed by a hit on your DAC, just go straight to the source and fight the good fight. Doesn't cost a thing, just time, patience, and a willingness to have the truth be told.

    Although I am still talking to All Freight Systems, ironically enough I got a call off a "work wanted" ad I put on Craigslist about a month ago. A three truck fleet out of Kansas city wanted to give me a second chance before knowing this was off my DAC. (Hell, they don't even pull your DAC) HA

    Ole boy sounds cool as hell as he is the dispatcher/partner who was a veteran driver of twenty years who had to come in due to heart problems. He said they will start me at .35cpm (empty and loaded) and I am pretty much an o/o out there. Told me trucks will run about 75/80 and as long as I deliver on time. How I get there, where and when I stop is completely up to me. Pay is weekly, paperwork is extremely minimal and they want the truck rollin this week. So I am meeting them today, and pretty sure I will bobtail my ##### to the house to load her up and hit it by the morning! :biggrin_25522:
    And if all this isn't enough for someone who's career was in the toilet a minute ago, only running the midwest region....will get through the house often. (if only to do laundry and grab a hot bath)

    Thanks again for your advice, and well wishes. See you out there and stay safe.

    "God is Good ALL the Time!!!"
