I find deer have more redeeming qualities than most of the human race.

I agree with SleepinBeauty. Every situation is different and it is hard to say how you will react when the time comes. Personally, I won't mow down humans unless they're running from the police.

And if a school bus full of children comes across the line on a two lane road and I have to ditch it I will.

Then you need to Move to MN. I never hunted till about 4 years ago. Now it's personal for me. I enjoy the meat, but I enjoy killing those ####### things more then eating them. Big giant rabbits. Only half as smart..

"But on Feb. 27, Polkamp said, he told his supervisor that he felt the truck’s brakes may have needed adjusting before the wreck. A tractor assignment check sheet Polkamp faxed to Land Line showed that on Feb. 14 Polkamp identified a heavy groove and a “quarter-inch lip” on the brake drive drums."

Why did he drive it if the brakes needed adjustment????

I agree with sleepinbeauty. Its very easy to cast judgement on a situation when you have never exerienced it yourself. If you ever are in that situation, your reflex actions may surprise you.

People accidentally hit animals all the time. A suicidal woman is a different story............

well i have hit alot of animals from my own cat to a stray dog more bunnys and deer than I can count. I never loose sleep over them. In 1992 at 2:45am on high 99 south bound at pixely CA. A drunk walked out in the middle of the highway. Started down the center line of the road. I went to the shoulder took out the fence the truck behind me went to the median. the drunk step into the other trucks trailer. knocking him tail over teakettel. he wasn't hurt but it was still close enough that I had bad dreams about it for almost a year.
