I could not get my wife to move, so you will have to wait till she is tired of me.
Even though she could get a better teaching job there. She cannot get on with a school district here, keeps working for company's that contract with the state/ county's for pre-k and stuff. Just way too many teachers in the area.
She has her Associates in Early childhood, BA in K-6 Ed, Masters in K-6 Special Ed. Certified for Birth-6th for special ed.
    But no full time work.
And she has no interest in moving.
    So I am stuck here.
I cannot blame her really, I am on the road and she is home. It is better she is near family since I am not home.

Back in Rockwall again. The appt time got changed on the load I was on from 1400 today to 1700 tomorrow, so my DM just Tcalled me to the yard. Need to get a PM anyway so am getting it done in the AM then will probably go do my HT.
Have almost 11500 miles for the past 30 days. Kinda like them numbers!!!

CD, you get the impression that 1Bad is trying to get enough people down there to start his own company? :biggrin_25522:

You get that impression too? LOL
Actually when I talked to him on the phone we talked about a good start up business model for a 2 truck fleet that could become larger very easy with the proper capital and contracts.
It is a boom town for trucking. As the Panama canal project finishes up, the building of the new port in South Carolina gets finished etc.
It would be a good place to start up a small company. Serving the ports and the rail yards.
i would do it myself, accept as I said, I am here for now. I cannot see my wife being willing to move. Even if we could make a better life there.
The time is the next few years though. After that the better contracts will be taken and they will have the capacity they need. Right now capacity is still low. So it is a truckers market.

On the voting day end of things....
I cast my vote a few weeks ago. Now my wife called me on the phone a few hours ago not knowing who to vote for.
I told her who I voted for and why. As well as a few candidates I believe she would like for other posts.
Now I think she voted as I did. So I guess I got 2 votes lol.

I have been sitting in Pittsburgh all day.
I pick up at 1800 in town and head to Olean NY, so I have to drive past my house.
Then I have to go straight from there to Erie PA to pick up and take a break for a load headed to York PA.
So I will have to pass my house again.
I hate going by home and not being able to stop. It is frustrating.

Almost screwed the pooch on voting myself. This is the 1st year since my felony that I registered and voted. For some reason, I was thinking it was next Tue. and had put in for my HT then. Things worked out tho, so that I stopped at the house last night then voted on my way to the trk this morning.

Honestly, I do not vote as I tend to stay away from politics.

    CD,

I feel you on the economy and moving. My sister and her husband are talking about moving to Oregon when the economy gets better. She has seven years in and will get promoted in the next two. Not too bad for a 31yr with a masters???

    As for myself,

I like it here in FL. The one place I would move to is Jacksonville or NE FL.
