I worked in a steak house, "you mean he ordered it rare, not medium rare?!?!"
-
Bull Milk?

Can it then be said that that's the way the cookie crumbles?

I hauled beef for Outback Steakhouse.
You figure it out !!! -
I'm surprised this behavior shocks all of you. In the real world the manager is paid on a performance based scale and gets a kick off sales. Many vendors will not take back expired product, once delivered, it's yours and if you don't sell it then it comes off your bottom line . That includes the product being stolen too. Items are sitting on shelves much longer than before.
A friend of mine does milk for a major mfg. He's a contractor. ( most milk guys are ) Used to be that he loaded his truck therefore allowing himself to "select" good product. Well that's all changed. They now load his truck....with sometimes expired butter, milk etc. and once on the truck, it's his. He tells me he "eats " somewhere around $200 a week ( wholesale ) in out dated and damaged ( OS& D ) goods. Mind you, he can take some of it off his taxes however we all know you have to pay it in before you can take it off.
Times are tough and sales are down. Stores, managers, corporations will do most anything to at least maintain their numbers.
My carrier just bought a large group of trucks from a major seller. ( guess who ) He paid big too and they're all pieces of junk. I say he got chingalayed ( spell chk pls. ) hard and I say this particular dealer / group sacrificed future sales for this one deal.
( yeah, boss is pissed ) It's how it is right now.

Ever since the Pilot and Flying J got together, I stoped going there. I may park but will buy nothing from them. I hate the Flying J.
