hey Redd, i am doing a "fly over" via google earth, and i can tell you, plenty of mountains, and twisty's...some small towns, many straight areas, i cannot tell you grade information however.
maybe someone else has been on that road, i know i have not ever been.
i just checked my 2009 Rand McNally, no low over passes, not a restricted route, weigh stations may be along the way though. -
i've run it but it's probably been 15 years. I don't remember it being bad. About like the rest of the highways in NM
-
It isn't bad at all. 4 lane highway all the way with speeds ranging between 60-70 mph. A couple hills, but nothing bad. No real curves.
-
yeah, as i was dong the "google earth fly by", it wasn't giving me the names of the cities/towns, past your starting point, so i could have easily gone past the town you need to end up at. but there are some curves on that road, perhaps further past the end point for you.

This is a beutiful drive almost all four lane now (maybe all by now) even when it was 2 lane it was great, there is a few grades like Apache Summit, and Organ Mtn. and a few others I can't recall the names of now.
