They have always ran nice equipment both company and owner operators. I just don't understand why they went with Volvo's. I called them awhile back to see what they had going on and they don't hire in my area. I see them a lot around Salina.
WH what ethanol plant are you going to?

RW. Thanks this. -
Colwich ethanol plant. There's been a lot of trucks going there recently. First time I've seen that many NSG trucks there, believe they are coming from alton ks in NC kansas. CHS has quite a bit of milo going to colwich.
Big John Thanks this. -
I have 3 loads left to go to ethanol plant. Could haul there next week for different company but the pay is considerably lower. Sun Valley is soaking up all the local loads now. When you have close to thirty hoppers you need a lot of work.

Anyone know who this Ratzlaff Trucking from Moundridge, KS is? I didn't know if they were new or been around for awhile pulling hoppers, I have been seeing some of their trucks running up and down 35 and they are not mexicans.
-
They have been around for a while. Think they started out leased to E & J but they then got their own authority, they have quite a few trucks. They haul a lot for TMA. There are some Ratzlaffs that farm around moundrige too.
Big John Thanks this. -
Well I guess they been running out of the fertilizer plant here in Enid also, just never payed much attention.
Is Unruh a big outfit or are their different Unruh outfits in Kansas? I have seen several Unruh trucks pulling hoppers and then seen one or two with J Unruh on the door in passing. Every truck I see is always clean and usually pulling a Cornhusker. -
I'm not sure. I've seen Unruh trucks every where too. There's some around moundridge and some in western kansas. You're right though they are always clean.

Heard a good one today. Two farmers were discussing corn yields for this year, one of them claimed his corn made 300 bu/acre this year. The other farmer claimed that was ridiculous, no one had anything close to that this year. "Sure did, got 160 bushel corn off of it in January, 140 bushel corn off of it in October."
wheathauler, Big John and dairyman Thank this.
