You are one of the few lucky ones. My husband did 2 stints with them. One as a company driver back in 2000.......Little miles. He averaged 1800 a week. Then I don't know what processed him to do it but he gave the Lease Purchase Agreement with them a go ...I don't know what you consider great pay is but when he was getting pay like $230.00, $66.00, and -$54.00. I'd say they suck. In addition they feed you BS like you are a mushroom. So for us it's personal experience.

So basically, it was two things that caused me to leave
- Slip Seating - which many companies did back then
- Other drivers - Not other JB drivers, but all the other classless jerks who felt they had nothing better to do than make fun of a JB Hunt driver (whether they are doing anything wrong or not).

the lease purchase program with any company is total crap and impossible to make money. by good money i mean bringing home 850$ plus a week......... -
Sportsoutlaw,
I hear ya with making fun of you just becasue you worked for JB it was the same way when i worked for werner, just idiots jaw jacking becasue we worked with a big company who has alot of bad drivers that don't know how to drive and or park straight at a truck stop. I just worked for werner for about two years just get my expriance and move on.
I can recall one time i was delivering down in laredo tx i found a spot at the flying J and this guy came up to me and said "you have a terminal not even five minutes from hear and you have to come hear and park!!" This guy was madder than a hornet i almost got out and fought him but what good would that do. All i wanted was something to eat, and when he got back in his truck he said, "Another day with Werner we suck enterprises" And then yup you guessed it everyone else started to join him. Its just a never ending battle with all these big companies. -

The thing that bothered me the most about JB was the short trips. I did pretty well and still averaged about 2500 miles a week but I got really tried of getting loaded/unloaded or dropping/hooking everyday. I did a short-term lease partly so I could turn down loads like that. Of course, I quickly learned that if you turn down a load your dispatcher will hate you and make you pay for it.

And if I was closer to home I would have already departed the company. I dont give a #### what they put on my DAC report. They could lie anyways. And by the way, Ive been with these jokers for almost 2 years now.
-
Style, you should care today about what they put on your DAC. If they try to play any games with you, you'll be feeling pain and definitely caring about what's on your DAC tomorrow or next week.
Maybe you should stay on with JB, only change your address to San Antonio or someplace near there. You got any relatives or friends living around SA? -
this joke of a company has been calling 3-4 times a day for the last 3 years. ive even changed my phone # and there so hard up for drivers (fools) they even some how got my new #. if that don"t show there hard up nothing does. i"ve even gone as far as reporting them to both the b b b and f t c but all they say is they can just wright the report but nothing else.
