There's plenty of stuff to hammer knight on, this isn't one of them. If you can't squat you have no business driving a truck. I'm a big guy(6'5" and slightly north of 300lbs) and have no problem passing a work well test(just took one on monday).

The neck thing is about sleep apnea, something I've known I've had since i was in my late teens(and a whopping 185 at 6'3"). I don't think that neck size or BMI is an accurate indicator of sleep apnea. What is a good indicator is loud snoring, but most drivers will lie to you about what time it is while your looking at a clock so they have to come up with some way to figure out who to check.

im 6'2 306lbs, and i can squat with no problem. my neck is 22inches, i was in the army, and they make you get a thick neck. i gained weight wen i broke my back, but i can pass any physical im given.... and i agree with phoenix, if you cant squat.... than why are you driving a truck? if you side swipe a car and you have to drag them to safety... how are you going to do so?

This profession is no different than any other safety sensitive job in the market! Try to be an airline pilot or law enforcement officer. They have to be height weight proportionate for their jobs! So if u can't pass a physical that should be An incentive to get into shape!

Lets don't start another "FAT" thread again! The link below should cover everything about to be gone over again! This thread will be kicking a dead horse! Just go here and read just about the exact same thing as the OP posted just worded differently!
Lets not waste free bandwidth on the exact same thing!

Go here and just read it all! And it does get violent in places with people posting exactly what they think on this and some of it just might hurt some feelings but it gets narrowed down to whose fault this could be.

Eh, "more true" or "truer" are both grammatically correct.

I am very fit myself and can pass any physical out there, being able to squat should not be a question or not in driving a TRUCK. have drove for over 27 years and have never done any squats in all these years, and then again I don't roll like that myself , whats next truckers with pink ribbons in their hair, yea he can't back a truck,or drive worth a dam,but look how purdy that little feller can squat ! no wonder this Industry is going to the pot ! sad real sad !
