that is why me and the better half run the h#ll out of the truck all year so i can park the truck and come back out until spring time. the best part being a o/o is that i can do that and not worry about throwing iron out there.so to all of my fellow drivers out there be safe as you can.

Thanks, that's a good refresher. BTW, chains must be carried in British Columbia from Oct 1, no exceptions.

Thank You, That is one thing I like about OOIDA. They provide some excellent material for ALL drivers. I will probably move this thread by the end of next week to Truckers' Weather & Road Conditions with a sticky for the season. Unless someone thinks it should be placed some where else on the forum. I'm always open for suggestions.

why do they not want you to use cables?
I wold think that they tear up the road less.
is it because you get better traction with chains than cables?
