USDOT # and Taxes

I'm getting started and will be running intrAstate only. I will be contracted to pull loads for my family (100-150 mile runs) pulling their trailers. I'm going to run under my on DOT numbers. My question is; the name I register for my (FL)USDOT number is this the same name I need to use on my taxes? If so, I'm assuming I will need a tax ID number under that name. To start, I'm running everything through my personal banking account. Later, I will open a seperate business account.
