    That I was married....truthfully.

If I knew then, what I know now. I would have started driving when I was single.

So far...., I enjoy my job. I can't believe they pay me to do this stuff. After being in the military..., this stuff is easy.:biggrin_25525:

Just recently completed the last credits I needed to and now it's official - I have a chemistry degree from Penn State. Something I decided to complete as a personal goal but will never use it so long as I can continue drive at Con-way Freight.

To answer your question.. I regret taking my job too seriously and placing that ahead of those I love. I'm a very driven person with a fear of failing but that's gotten the best of me at times. I'm trying to be a more well rounded person in regards to work and life - that said, I can't honestly say I regret my decision to drive a truck..

Only regret is that I didn't start 20 years earlier.

Although I am not the typical trucker whose response you were looking for...there are days when I wish I would have used my degree and went into the world of finance. It would be great to have normal vacations, scheduled time off, no after hours calls, etc. This is usually short lived. I could never work in corporate America. I love my drivers. I would still be working 70 hours/week. At least this way, my hard work benefits my family, my drivers, and not some hedge fund or large corporation.

    lupe and jakebrake12 Thank this.

jakebrake--hopefully you lions can take care of business against MSU at the end of the year. I am still looking for a way the Hawks get to the Rose Bowl. Obviously, a Wiscy loss would be most helpful.

I would have hire Chris Farley to work as my Sexy Pool Boy!!:biggrin_255:
Seriously, I regret it because I've got WAAAAAYYYY too bad a temper to have to interact with dispatchers. Period. Ever again.

I would have gotten my General Contractor's License, and worked into a fat portfolio of properties on which I could have worked until my heart was content!

Thankfully, that still might happen! :)

Most times I do not regret the career I have chosen (yes I called it a career) except when my back or hip is acting up. Sometimes I do regret that I did not make choices sooner because of the security of the job at the time
