Just got my CDL and have a prehire from May. I live about 30 minutes from the Denver terminal and am wondering how often I could expect to pass through Denver or have my 10 hours in Denver? Looking to maximize hometime opportunities.

I am leaning toward 11 western because it would seem to be easier to pass through Denver. Any info on what the "typical" lanes are out of Denver for 11 western or 48?

Thanks. Any info is greatly appreciated.

Side question - if given a choice would you choose a Cascadia or a Pete 387.

As far as a choice in trucks, you MAY not have a choice...
You will more than likely have to take the first one thats open,
If I had a choice it would be a Pete 387...
More room, less weight, not as many bugs in it as teh Cascadia.
Most of May's cascadias had problems with windshield leaks,
and assorted electrical gremlins. Just my 2c worth

pjw044 thanks for the info. It seems that Peterbilt generally has a better rep than Freightliner.

I was at the denver yard last week and a guy was looking at the selection of available trucks (Pete 387's and Cascadias). It appeared he was being given a choice.

Don't know if that is common or not.
