I have never leased with a company but the way everyone talks about JCT sounds like if I was gonna lease w/someone, I'd start with JCT. I love to run hard and get as many miles in a week possible. Sounds like this company runs their drivers for sure.

It normally takes at most a week I think. You said you only worked for yourself, is that otr and is it at least one year of consecutive and current experience.cueball35 Thanks this.
-
That's a good thing. That means they actually do all the back ground checks and get you cleared before you come. Many companies like J.B. Hunt,FFE etc. usually wait till you come to do all that stuff then send you home if you dont qualify.cueball35 Thanks this.

would be interesting to hear some o/o input - those who lease their own truck with Jct. Miles still there? What are deductions?

Hey need an answer on trip pack in cab scanning, I do not want the unit that Trip likes to sell, instead I wanted to get a printer/copier/scanner and I prefer HP. The only thing that Trippac wants is Twain complient, I thought just about any scanner is Twain complient but not sure. I figure Alan has a good answer he always does! Sorry not here much anymore but yea on the facebook thing. Thanks for the help! And good luck to those who are about to start the journey!

I would like to hear from so o/o too, thinking about leasing my truck on

Miles are always there, we normally do not stop rolling until we want to for what ever personal reason, then we roll again! Our break even miles are always different between each driver based on financial need. Truck costs are also different based on model/year,etc. I would advise putting a clear cut plan together on what it will take to be successful, what are housing costs, monthly bills, alimony, child support, car payment, ect, ect, Everyone's financial need is a different picture and in order to be successful yours must be finely tuned! This is a business, your business, not JCT's.
I will give a few examples;
After my 90 days was up I wanted to install the factory refrigerator/ice box that was available for my truck, it was no problem, shop ordered it and installed it, My wife and I luv it! About $600.00.
Next was a microwave to cook food in which fits nicely as well, cost $40.00
Now we get food from walmart and stores and cook decent meals and save a ton o money, then well go out somewhere really nice after getting a hotel room!
Both of these items are tax write-offs and with the per-diem!! I hope your getting the point. Anything related to your business is a deduction.
I would truly advise doing as much research as u can before making a decision the more u know before u start will help u avoid mistakes and maximize profits! Hope that helps,, I'll spy on ya all soon and good luck, maybe write somethin in three more months
Alanp613 and leatherman Thank this. -
your a l/o right vette?

I know the miles are there for everybody, especially if you run team. As far as deductions for O/O, the only one I know for sure is, qualcom. You would have totalk to a recruiter on the rest. Alan might know

i'm still here, 14 months now and no intention of leaving!!! usually get on fb, but occasionally stop by here. not posting on here doesnt mean someone isnt still with the company! drivers beware of ?????
