They are trying to get me home so my wife can get me a b-day present.
I am at the Lee Hi truck stop for the night. Good day, over 600 miles.
I deliver in Carlisle in the morning and he has 2 possible loads for me.
One I would have to take to Columbus, then a load home.
Or the other where I would go to Buffalo for a 0300 delivery Sat morning. I may not make it in time for that one though.
So at least he has a backup.
And I would have to take a 10 hour break before I get home either way. So really does not matter much.
Had really good pot roast with home made mashed potatoes and gravy. I love this place.
It is after 2200, and still parking available.
Most company drivers do not know it is here, so almost all O/O and small fleet drivers.

You know CD, that once you hit a certain age, BD's are not allowed anymore. Momma taught me mthat was 39. Anything after that was just holding and didn't count. hehehehehehehehe
-
Oh, I stopped ageing at 39.
I just keep having Birthdays for the gifts. -
the truckstops on the 10 out of houston and 30 out of dallas both pack em in. if your not there by 3 you're out of luck. i beleive they have ports coming into houston from galveston so those are two BUSY truckstops. houston and dallas also seem to do a lot of deliveries back and forth from chicago. and los angeles.
defenitly 2 places not worth planning for sleep. you'll spend half your offtime looking for a spot to park. but on the bright side. if your on the 45 about 30 miles south of dallas. there's a little buffet place off to the east side that used to have the best meatloaf, potatoes, and bread. and WOMEN. ate there all the time. it's been 8 years though. -
Lol next time, we came up to Farr West from Hesperia ca, so we didn't have much choice about going straight to Associated.
Congrats on the Marriage DM
I'm with Pan on this I reckon he hid em in the truck!!
I forgive ya Pan!! But was thinking gee he dun remember meeting me
You ate the cookies didn't ya!!
I'm counting down now...25 Again
JJ will kill me for telling you all this but it is pretty funny!!
Ran outta deisel tonight a mile from the TA in Mill City NV
fuel gauge was reading 1/8 off a tank!
-
the very first truck i did OTR was that way also. 1/8 and we were pushing. if only 80,000 pounds weren't so ###### heavy.
i beleive the truck held 300 gallons. 1200 miles was the max we dared go. 280 gallons was the most we pumped in. in the mountains. i think 250 was the most in the flat states.
the truck i drive now goes down to E. the truck acts funny at that point. with 30 gallons still in the tanks. 15 each side. but it won't go all the way to F either. gets close though. -

Oh, they made sure I wouldn't go by the house with this load. lol Wouldn't matter anyway since its all that near (lite) beer crap.
