Question for either Nana or Injun: (hijack alert) Is the Eden, NC terminal still open? I have heard about Greer being highly unorganized. I always felt the best one was Edwardsville (at least it was for the time i worked their). Good luck to you Green Beret.

I've never been to the Greer terminal but I'd hate to think they are worse than a few of the others I've been to. I think, though, most of the terminals I have been to have been good. Columbus, Edwardsville and Jonestown have been the best so far. They all have their problems but if they are clean and have a staff that treats you at least ok (I don't need or ask for personal service) then that's enough for me. Avenel needs to be bulldozed.

can't tell you how many times I had to resend BoL's and logs that I already had scanned, or go on safety hold. It's pretty well epidemic at these mega carriers where you are a number and cheap meat in the seat.

Lost paperwork can happen for any number of reasons in my experience. Granted being disorganized like that in a professional setting is unacceptable. However with large companies like Swift and others its not suprising. Rule of thumb... Whenever your turning in paperwork (especially medical papers) KEEP A COPY FOR YOUR OWN RECORDS. Document everything and be a professional. Too many drivers out there that want everyone else to keep track of things for them. Just my suggestion.

sorry, not nana or Injun, but to my knowledge, Eden isn't open. And of the terminals i've been to, and i've only been to probably half of them, my home terminal of Edwardsville is by FAR the best. the best atmosphere behind the glass of any terminal, where it seems most other terminals its always a 'rainy day'. However, edwardsville shop? totally different story. HAHAHAH

Not to rip on Swift. But, a friend of mine's GF was hired to dispatch by Swift with zero trucking knowledge and zero office experience. I dunno about the rest of the people around here, but that says to me that most likely the office staff is just as ignorant as most of their drivers.
