So I have some questions regarding Prime. I have been approved to come and work for Prime, and my biggest concern is I live By Fresno, Ca and there are no Terminals out here what so ever.

Now I wanna run teams, and I already have a friend who also got approved to go to Prime. He lives about Four hours south of me, so were not sure how the home time with Prime works?

Also I have read the home time is not that good with Prime!? Can you tell me what you know about this?

Running team is great for home time in CA. If you go company you get one day for every 7 days on the road. Typically no more than 4 days in row off, unless it's a special deal setup with your FM. Typically 3 week minnimum between home time requests.

I grew up in Sanger. My mom still lives there. When I train, I'm running team... Ususally I was in an out of CA every other week mostly. A lot of the loads will be in and out of the LA area... However I did quite a bit out of the valley this past summer... I did a lot from the coast around Salinas and around Sacramento also.

In my experience, My FM has got me home every time I have asked. However I typically stay out 6 to 8 weeks by my own choice...so maybe that's why it's never screwed up cuz I'm a "go to guy" I have on a couple occasion used the three week min. Between home times... Even then no problems from my fleet manager.

    Oldespeed2 Thanks this.

Can you please tell me about Prime's withholding taxes? Do they withhold state & federal Tax, and Medicare tax. I have been hearing as a company driver they do not withhold? Is there any truth to this, and can you explain this?

Well I was talking to a new driver today, and this was his fourth week out and Prime hardly took any taxes out! So I'm just curious?

Well maybe he is a resident of WA, or TN.... Im a resident of WA and we dont have state income tax witholding.

I can assure you, there is no problem with Prime withholding the proper taxes... FICA, Soc Sec etc.

L/O guys, thats a different story. IP can probably help you with that one... Im pretty sure they are responsible for some if not all of their taxes.

I live in Alabama and Prime takes out state taxes as well as all the required federal taxes. I understand that they did not take state taxes out until this current year unless you lived in MO. They have since changed there wasy. Of course this is for company drivers only.
