We allow companies to post employment opportunities for FREE in this seek employment section for our members. The last thing we want, is to allow squabble/debate because of their per diem pay or anything else for that matter, to hinder a employment chance for a member. We have a whole forum with sections dedicated just for that. If you don't like the thread, move on to another one.
With that being said, if you have issues with this, Please feel free to PM the Admin or any MOD regarding this.
Thanks,
RT

Attention employers: We now require a valid DOT# for anyone wishing to post a driving position. If your job offer doesn't contain a DOT number, it will not get past moderation and will not appear in the forum. The other requirements in the sticky at the top of this section are still required as well. Thank you for understanding.

I am pretty sure we covered this on the phone but it is good to put the info out for all to see.
We pay on practical miles. You are going to be out 14-21 days home 2-3 days. You can stay out as long as you would like but max home time is three days, unless of course you have vacation time or want to take a leave of absence.
Our trucks are governed at 65mph. -
Be very careful with per diem. You can not claim the difference ask any accountant. and the daily allowance went up this year did your per diem go up? I ahve worked in this per diem trap, thank god I don't have to fool with it anymore, and .32 cpm good god I was driving for that 15 years ago. Good luck on your recruiting efforts.

I just got my CDL's for the second time. I drove in 89,90 and did not have an accident or any tickets. I can stay out 2-3 mos. at a time as long as I can put a moped or small motoercycle on my rig. I will not go to school for something I know already. Baton Rouge, LA.

You should really only have 1 cdl !!!!
Repo Thanks this. -
We pull refers. Wont leave that much room. Also, we haul loads of meat. If you have ever pulled meat before, you know you are constantly flirting with 80,000 pounds. Bringing a bike may not be a good idea....just sayin

Sounds like you have been told that you need to back to school. The thing is yes, most companies will not hire you since its been 20 years since you last drove, including Butler. The reason is not that you cannot drive a truck, but the DOT laws and regulations have changed so much since you were last on the road. -
could you mention where to go to this forum . i am berely new here . i think repo is doing smart questions . with no ofence . -
Not sure what you meant here. Your in the seek employment section and by your history. You have been posting in the job section.

Go to the IRS website, do a search on per diem and read the info there. Then come back and read the posts here again. It might be a little bit more understandable then.jvar4001 Thanks this.
