When you lease a truck you need to look at a few things

    1. Waranty
    2. No - warranty
    3. Escrow
    4. Extended Warranty Option

When you lease a truck you mostly assume the risk ... The truck is used prob past the manufacture warranty most are old Celadon trucks ... They prob offer a
extended warranty option for bout $1500-2000 depending on what you want and tge term 1-3 yrs usually or mileage based also ..

Being a O/O is on you some companys may help you but that's their choice ... Before you drive away be sure you know what you got ... And what's covered
A 30 day dealer warranty not much to hang your hat on

Also OOIDA offers insurances with down time pay after a few days 3/5 usually mine is 5 pays 225 per day so you have some revenue

Don't just go with the lowest thing out there you will end up screwed in the end but it's not the dealers fault ...

Get a mech to look at the truck
    Get a DOT ( fresh independent )
    Get a DINO

CYOA when you purchase a truck if the saleman tells you something
You know may not sound right ...

Get it in WRITING .... Never ASSUME

its all a ripoff any more. used to be a good deal, but no more
driver assumes all expense liability, company takes first 30 % off the top

So many even with lots of industry experience want to buy a truck
Buying a truck does not mean you will succeed . Many also buy just to be able to refuse loads ( not a good idea) or travel in a comfortzone ...

You must look at this as a business it's not a company job it's a business ...

So many fail cause they run THEIR truck like a COMPANY truck . If you do this you will FAIL ...

    Be informed
    Do your home work
    Look at options
    Look at extended services
    Under stand the costs involved

If it's to easy to get into chances are it probally is not a good deal in the first place .

I pull tank and they get 32% off the top ... Difference is you can pull 1.00 freight and make it ... Depends on who you decide to lease to ...

Goes back to doing your home work

    I'm a SOLO home every week , I pull in140-150 easy but I don't pull 1.00 freight though

    Secondly :

    You control you business :

    1. Truck payment
    2. Fuel consumption
    3. Tires

The two most expensive things in trucking are controllable

    1. Fuel : proper speed etc
    2. Tires : proper pressure and rotation goes a very long way some never check .... This

Your truck payment can be controlled

    Mine is $0.00

But it also was not a brand new truck .. It's a 2002

So many try to ride fancy with a 2000-2800 monthly payment ... Then complain they got or are getting ripped off

    You made the decision !!!!!

Control your costs !!!! = success
