i spend a good hour a day just yelling at her. the rerouting on the tnd is not good if you ask me. i used to use a cheapy garmin at my old job and it would reroute pretty nicely and predictably. this thing, it takes her an hour to finally give up on her idea and get it right. and during that time is when she goes nuts with turn right into a neighborhood where the street is not even 2 lanes, and/or make a u turn?? hello b**** do you not remember we are a truck?? haha i always go back to make sure my settings are still on 70 feet...

Goggle is good, but try using Bing. If you go to their maps and go to the Sat view go to the "Birds Eye", it's as if you are going over the place in a plane looking strait down and it's very clear. The only problen is it has only two views, the regular and just one zoom in. Give it a try.

Hey AT,
I can't remember exactly from following your thread here- how long have been solo now, 3-4 weeks? I lost track. It sounds like your still pretty happy with it, are your miles stayin above 2000 a week pretty much? Do you have to unload yourself a lot? Do you load the truck a lot yourself especially with furniture and I'm guessing its crated, do you uncrate and unoad it.American-Trucker Thanks this. -
American-Trucker who do you drive for? How do you like it so far? What kinda truck you driving?

wulfman75 I found out what post I was on after the next page. I looked at this thread from the main page. I'm still learing my way around the web site as there is a lot of information on here and its all great info.
wulfman75 Thanks this. -
Welcome to the site btw. -
I finished Orientation and went solo October 8th 2010. Yea my miles have been between 2300-2600 I think, if you go a few pages back I posted all my miles and my paychecks.
The only freight I've had to unload is the furniture, and unless its going to a terminal your GOING to unload it lol. The customer may help though which is nice. I've never really loaded my truck, the load I'm on now I'm going around and picking up damaged furniture but each stop is only 1 piece lol and so far they have put both of the pieces I have so far on them selves...
No the furniture isn't in crates, the coutches and recliners and stuff like that just have plastic around them and carboard underneith to protuct the side that its sitting on (usually the end). and most everything else comes in a box. Allot of this stuff is very heavy lol like the dressers, I can barly slide it across the floor of the trailer, although if I could get better traction on the floor I might be able to slide it easyer......
