    What catguy is saying is that if the ECM thinks that the engine has worked under certain conditions it may derate even though it shouldn't have.........CAT was building in extra protection in the program without using a sensor to tell the ECM that there is a problem......so it can derate without you knowing it without plugging in a laptop with CAT ET

    Flash it to a 6NZ 7CZ or I know where any interesting Aussie file is that will make it scream and still get good fuel mileage

    Pullingtrucker, I'm going to respectfully disagree with you here;
    Any regulator will NOT work!!! It will have to be a "relieving" type, which means that it would allow the regulated air going to that turbo boost sensor to return to zero psi when the boost psi "goes away".

    Using a "non relieving" regulator is similar to putting a check valve between the boost sensor and intake; the sensor would always see boost psi, and this WILL throw a code!........ (don't ask me how I know!!!!)

    I will agree with you about reprogramming the ECM. By far it was the best thing I could have done to my MBN.

    As far as I know the first guys to build a wire for the boost sensor where from the Grand Rapids MI area and worked for Michigan CAT this was back in 2002-2003.

    The first fuel temp wire for the 70 pin and later ECM's...........I'm not sure about. I think two or three different people in different areas of the country came up with this at about the same time........I was one of them, but I saw another wire within a month of my building my first one that a guy got from someone else. It wasn't too much longer after this that Hayes Performance had them on ebay for sale.

    The 40 pin fuel temperature wire eluded many of the original builders of the wires.........including me. I spent a considerable amount of time trying to build it with many failures........I think I finally built it correctly in 2005 and had a few people try to take them off customer trucks to see how they were built to be able to copy them, fortunately the customers wouldn't allow it. It took roughly 18 months before someone else finally got it right and started advertising them on the Internet.
