There's one in Marshall, guy has been in the business since the 70's, he's semi-retired but has a treasure trove in his shop of old radios and some newer ones as well. He's not much of an export radio guy but he'll do a Uniden or a Cobra any day of the week that he's open.

I hope you don't mean Stryker Antenna cb shop. ALL locals in Oklahoma City are having problems with that person. BAD NEWS! I've heard several truck drivers complain about that shop messing up their radios and he refuses to admit it, nor fix it. He will call the cops on you if you complain to him, too.

    CJndaTruck and rabbiporkchop Thank this.

You have no protection since there is no standard for radio repair.
The only way to protect yourself is to BADMOUTH him ....

I have been a radio repairman for over 40 years .....

You can't please everyone or fix every radio and even if it is fixed someone will not like how you did it ....

    SO .......

Since the FCC sets standards also know as RULES AKA Part 95 but at the same time holds you the radio owner lible for any problems with your radio. YOU get the fine he is not held in any way.

What does the shop have to lose ?

There is NO requirement for a license NO requirement for training anyone can call themselves a CB DOCTOR ...... LEGALY ......So what can you do if the guy is nothing more than a hack ?

The little guy gets stuck .....

    rabbiporkchop Thanks this.

Bruce, if you wouldn't loose your job for it, you could make a killing getting guys to mail their radios to you for a "peak, tune, and align."
