Didn't mean to offend our resident flatbed expert. I was speaking directly to an individual who admittedly has never worked for Swift as he was passing judgment on office staff.
And I stand by what I say. Regardless of claimed years of experience. Anybody can place any number they wish in that corner. It doesn't mean a thing. And yes, I have met some extremely ignorant 25 year veteran drivers who asked for my help. However, I didn't make a big ol' attitude out of it.
I will continue to defend my team.

I wasn't trying to put words in your mouth, so forgive me if it sounded that way. What I mean is, just because someone is young doesn't mean diddly squat on whether or not he/she can do a good job or understand what you go through in my book. I used to think the same way you do, but have since changed because my travel agent is a woman, yes, a young woman. And while she doesn't drive a truck, understands how things work out here because of what I hear from her and the way we talk to each other. Out of all the travel agents I've had over the years, she is by far the best I've had so far. She keeps me busy, runs me when I want to run and understands that when I'm tired, I'm tired... whether I have hours or not to drive. The biggest problem with most companies and most drivers(this doesn't particularly include you personally) have a separate "me me me me" attitude and do not take the time to talk and understand each other. We are friends, but 1st and foremost, business partners. Without each other, we do not make any money. So in that retrospect, I give her the respect and dignity that her job requires as she does me.o0DaGal0o Thanks this.

INJUN's chain was pulled when the 'truckstop etiquette' thread cast light on 'gay behavior'...

EXCUSE ME????????
What the heck is that? You don't like what she has to say so you're going to personally insult her?
Well aren't you just a manly man.
-
Why is it that if one person does not agree with the other they go after them personally??
-
For some reason I feel like I'm sitting in the truck stop listening to the CB ramblers.

Behave or move on to the next thread.trukngrl, hotrod1653, JimDriv3r and 3 others Thank this. -

I absolutely insist that you drop this gay stuff and move on.
We don't need to keep taking little jabs at people here and there, and covering the same ground time after time.
Please drop it and move on.
Thanks!trukngrl, ozzspeed, CondoCruiser and 8 others Thank this. -
Well said.

I agree but INJUN's 'hip checking' got old long ago. No apologies.

I was at the scale on 85 outside Charlotte yesterday. There was the usual chatter on the CB whining about drivers not rolling across the scale and stopping. In the right lane a Swift truck rolled on the scale and stopped for a sec ... well the CB just exploded with the usual Swift drivers suck BS.
Meanwhile, in the left lane an independent stops on the scale, rolls off, stops, backs back on to the scale, stops again before moving on ... not a peep on the CB.
Point ...none per se. Take from it what you want.
By the way I was on way down to Greer. First time I was at the terminal. Dropped off an empty trailer that needed some attention and needed another empty. Staff at the shop were helpful. Greer is the usual easter egg hunt for a trailer, but the duty DM was on it, pointed me to a trailer that had just been dropped by someone picking up a tcall.
