gears that's an awful pretty truck, I would have to agree with you. replace it and keep it looking nice. Pride in ownership shows.
Gears Thanks this. -
happy birthday i guess
and yes it is good that you posted it---cause to read this forum it sounds like 99.9% of the other drivers are perfect
i will gladely join your bumper bender club
one nice thing about shakers is that you can bend them back by hand----yours on the other hand looks like a tough bumper with that curve and support rodsMackDaddyMark and Gears Thank this. -
I've been close a couple of times but got lucky and caught it. I agree and would get it fixed. You don't want that mark on you while you're driving around. Happy B-day and things could be worse so thanks for the info so all can benefit.
Gears Thanks this. -
I would go buy an extra large box of Band-Aids. Stick 'em down over the damage, put a little neosporin over it and your bumper should be good as new in about seven to ten days.

My boss uses the front edge of the bucket on his Bobcat to push those pesky bumpers hiccups back into place...I am amazed at how well it works....and quick too. It does a better job than a hammer would, which would beat the heck out of the chrome.
I have seen him do it twice, and both times he was within an inch of having it back to its original position...Gears Thanks this. -
Back when I was a Werner Wiener, I had the pleasure of having that happen while backing up in a rest area. I was backing into a spot with a low fence on the side. Once I had discovered that it had happened, I found an open idle aire space and used that post to help bend it back to where it belonged. I only had a little lump near the very top of the bumper. Other than that, you could barely tell that my bumper looked just like yours did.

Personally, I have to admire a man (person) who admits a mistake. Thanks for sharing that with us newbees.
My 1st month, I got my only preventable. I forgot to watch my mirrors in a turn and destroyed a tire and rim on a low concrete barrier. I felt like the dumbest guy to ever climb behind a wheel....davetiow, Gears and Texas-Nana Thank this.
