Hey redhog, you see my pic, so look me up when you get here. I got in last night and I've already talked to some drivers this morning. Training doesn't officially start until tomorrow, so we'll see how things go....

I thought TMC stood for - to much chrome. I'm glad they are tough ! If you can operate a truck and drive a trailer none of these good companys should be a problem. Not everybody needs to be in a 40 ton rig going down the road !! Some people don't need to be in a car.......... See ya in Des Moines on Mon. the 8th !!!

How about we drive a truck and pull a trailer. It's really hard to drive something with the wheels in the back, no engine or steering wheel!

Thanks for posting all the information everyone. It looks like I will be heading out this weekend to Des Moines for orientation. My biggest concern right now is if I mak it through the orientation alright, I hope I dont get a sorry trainer.

I have read a lot of horror stories about trainers, I just hope I dont have to write one. Well we'll see; best of luck to all of you that are there now or on our way.

I dont see what all the fuss is about. I am currently going through orientation at TMC, and it seems to be a good place to start. They tell you right up front what to expect, and they expect you to earn your pay. Kind of what I have been looking for in a company. So far I cannot complain about anything except that I had to come all the way to Iowa for the orientation. As far as the lunch they feed you; I haven't been able to finish a plate yet, and the meal is very good. If things stay the way they are then I will most likely enjy working here.
