Canadian freedoms would be eroded tomorrow if there was no military? Other than the usa, i don't see any other countries actively involved in invading or trying to conquer other countries. Who does canada need to protect itself against? With the usa next door, pre-emptively defending itself against perceived threats, i doubt if any aggressor would get anywhere near, or close to attacking canada. Strategically the usa wouldn't allow it,.
It,s a JOB,. nobody is forced to join the canadian forces,. they choose to do so, they get paid,. they are aware of the risks,. Canadian soldiers are being killed overseas defending the rights of others,not defending any rights or freedoms for canadians at home,.as i stated before i give them respect they deserve.
