Some good points have already been mentioned here.

Wind, parking issues due to length, driver care and attention to them when hitting the dock, etc.

I've got another thought on the length issue....how long before some state with its nose out of joint on length restrictions is going to start issuing tickets for this?

Air tabs are an option to these. I wonder what the maintenance costs for these will be. That will be the sink or swim test for this device

As my best friends Dad and former boss who owned over 30 tractors and over 80 straight trucks said, "the biggest impact on fuel savings, tire savings, and wear and tear is the drivers right foot".

In our company some drivers have 30 l/100 km, some - over 40...

All our trucks speed governors are 90 kmh. Some "smart" drivers disable speed limiters...
