Thats exactly right thats what it is , I actually misspoke. It was in Newark
and I rode around all day, which is still bull^&%$#. This is their Buisness, and you would think they would be all over it or at least Pay the driver for their inefficiency and ineptness in regard to THEIR company not mine. But NOOOOooooo, f&^% the driver , the same company that touts "WE Care About Our Drivers" , excuse me, (I think I just threw up in my mouth), their really no better than a insurance company trying to sell you a whole life policy for the good of you, They should at least offer a f^%$ing reach around and give me a kiss with it! I'm leaving as soon as i can!

Lol...wow. So basically, you are touting their 'pay manual'...yet, you are complaining because you are getting paid exactly what they said in writing what they would pay you? How stupid is that, to rip on a company because they are treating you exactly the way they WROTE that they would treat you? Didn't you know what you were getting into?

As far as my previous comments, I stand by them. Don't let them, or the automated computer, walk all over you. Get on the horn with your DBL, explain what is going on...and work something out as far as pay. Yes, they have their pay process written down...but most of the time if you have a good relationship with your DBL, they will compensate you fairly, IF you ask / Push for it. If they want you to go to X, then ask them 'what if'...questions...such as what if there isn't a trailer there..."what if the trailer isn't there, but another is...can I take that one instead?...what if what if....I can't drive around looking for MT trailers all day and get paid a couple of bucks...we need to come up with a plan..."

And seriously...you work for Schneider....it might help in your arguments about how professional you are, and how you deserve such a high rate of pay, if you knew how to spell your employers name.

I was talking to a driver who has been driving for Schneider for just under 4 months. He got his license through them and he was upset because they didn't give him a brand new truck to start out with. The truck he was given is older and has some technical issues.Did he seriously think he was going to get a brand new truck with his brand new license?

    I think so

Well yes , NEW TRUCK , top $ rates , dedicated route , your own work schedule , stock options , big office :biggrin_25523: these are ALL the things that new drivers feel they are owed by a comoany when they start.

HAHAHA, I have been with Schneider for 3+ years and have never driven a new truck. Their idea of giving me a new truck is taking me out of the beat up piece of crap I'm in and giving me a NEWER beat up piece of crap. I have no preventables, good customer service, no OOS events and I am an all around good employee. The newest truck I have driven was in 2008 I was given a 2005 team hand me down with 410000 miles on it. :biggrin_255:

Well actually....this isn't too far fetched nowadays. On our account, we just got new trucks...my previous truck was an 06...which still isn't too bad. As far as pay...if you took my pay and divided it over my driving time...I was making 23 bucks an hour. Granted...thats part of a team run, so you are sleeping in the truck for the other half of the day...another argument in itself right there as far as pay...etc. Dedicated runs...aren't too hard to get either. I got mine with no experience at all...and I think all our acct had for requirements was six months experience.

Do not feel bad. I was going IC until my truck caught fire. Then went company. I was given a truck, 04, with now 751,700 miles on it, and unless it is safety related, they will not fix anything. Getting too close to swap out. So now I avg 5.3 mpg, and this is fine with them.
