I was just thinking some may also want an update on the kids. The twins that where with us have gone back their mom. She finally got a decent job and a suitable home for them and they are both doing well. Obviously we miss them dearly and hated for them to go but......
My family continues to to grow although now there has been the addition of several 4-legged kids. 4 new kittens but one disappeared, Then the wife came home one day telling me her truck was making a funny noise. Turns out a long haired Siamese kitten had climbed under her seat.
Wife was given a 6 yr old cow pony that was just grazing pasture since thier kids had gone to college. A neighbor had her colt (4 YR Gelding) which I bought for myself.
Then the wife took a part time job caring for a gentlemans(used loosely) horses which he was not caring for. A thoroughbred mare had dropped twins and no one was caring for her so she was sucked dry and is now or was skin and bones and foundered. She is ruined as far as an adult ever riding her but once I get her healthy she'll make a wonderful kids horse. Probably take a year to get her hoofs repaired. She's doing much better and has started to put on weight. He gave us one of the twins and the mare as an (un-spoken) bribe not to let anyone know of her condition so he wouldn't loose them all. He also had a 4 yr field stud that no one could get near. He was going to put him down when I had the wife bring him home. In 3 days I had him gentled and began saddle breaking. They guy started acting like a jerk and came and got him and the other colt. So the studs training will probably end there.
On my last run to Dallas I was parked at the J x472 I-20 when someone called out about a dog that had been tied to the gas pump across the street. Turned out to be a racing Greyhound, tied with a muzzle on. So we rescued her. Very sweet dog and so very happy now.
Total head count at the Waldo Farm??? 3 adults, 3 kids, 3 dogs, 7 cats, and 4 horses. hahahahahaha Scratching my head just wondering whats next.

I was waiting in line at ethanol plant and some trucker was saying he was making three cents more than me from the same place. He's a blow hard but I'm still going to e mail the dispatcher about it and see if it's true. He's usually a bottom feeder can't believe they would give him more money, although he does have a number of trucks. I've tried to get the rate raised but they always say some else is hauling it for that, or so they say.
I don't normally tell people what my rate is just because of this problem. Sometimes they pay you more if you do a good job for them. Anymore it's kind of rare mainly it's who can do it the cheapest. -
7mouths2feed Thanks this.

Changed my AD-9 cartridge today. Yesterday morning it was 15 and froze the water in my airlines. Put some air line anti-freeze in and finished the rest of the day. Grandkids came down today since we're having Thanksgiving tomorrow. It's hard to have it on Thanksgiving with all the in-laws and my sister-in-law is a nurse.
