Respect is earned, not given by me. Once again, may I point out: my original post wasn't directed at YOU or YOURS!!!

How dare you. Glad I'm out of your way. Your attitude spells road rage and danger. I'm so very happy that you in your 20 years know it all.

An accident waiting for a place to happen.

You said you've forgotten more than I know....

Maybe YOU need to park. In the 20 years of you (and 27 of your spouse) have saved enough to buy that RV and go at it.

Why do you continue at truck driving, a proven wrecking ground for the obese couples that have no future? Is that you?

I've seen more than my share of you "couples" out on the road, sweating, swearing, greasily sliding into the truckstop, filling up your road cups with 50 oz of Coke, a couple of hot dogs and huffing back to your company truck that runs the hell out of you at $.40 a mile.

Gees, Giggles! You are so hostle to another female driver! But that's how "team" driver wife and husband trucks roll. You think all of us solo females are out to steal your man!

You have my sympathy. I feel sorry for you to have run so far and still have to go on in your middle age.

Ok, tell me you have your own authority and run it from the jump seat. Tell me how you are finacially secure. How your spouse has provided.

    Yawn...

    And speaking of proof reading:

"your off to" is incorrect useage, English major! Try you're....gees!

Once again, thanks for the "mentor" style you have to offer all of the female drivers with less "stick time" than you. You certainly are a shining example of all that female drivers aspire to be.

Maybe I'll have the pleasure to meet you at that Petro counter with you and your "hubby" talking about all of your conquests!

I can hardly wait. My career counts on it....

    Lame.....

There was a time when you could trade road asperin across the table from New Mexico Highway patrolmen. They would rather see you pilled up and running that falling asleep at the wheel. This has come to a time when a machine decides whether you're tired or not. Let me decide ! I'm the one looking through these eyes. There are times when I can sleep all night at home get in the truck and get 15 minutes down the road and start yawning and want to take a nap. But, that friggin clock keeps running. 14 hours and I don't feel like doing 14 minutes.

This technology is quite a ways off.

They had a similar test not too long ago here in the states - a competition between who could build the best automated vehicle (not RC).

A complete disaster, and the best entrant only managed a mile before failure.

A system like this would require billions in infrastructure (per lane) - since the most feasible system would basically confine those vehicles to a "track" in the roadway, similar to light rail and with rubber tires.

But I'm pretty sure we all will be retired B4 the first working example could be built.

And like intermodal ... the "slave truck" would still need to be "driven" to the customer.
