Coca Cola in Syracuse NY is kind of the same way.The receiving guy is a nice guy,but not necessarily in a hurry to get you out of there...I've spent more time waiting to get unloaded there than I have actually getting unloaded. That's part of the job and I've learned to deal with it.

I always thought it would be funny to replace one Coke in the back with a Pepsi! Funny in the "haha NOW WHAT COKE?!?" way, not the "you're fired" way.

I picked up at Coca Cola in North Hampton Mass last week had a 1 O'clock appointment, got there at noon and was at the dock being loaded by 1:15 and heading down the road by 2:30.Had to pick up at Coca Cola in East Hartford Connecticut this week.Had a 11am appointment, got there at 9:30am (expected to wait because I was early).Backed into the dock at 12:20 and hit the road by 4.They were done loading at 3:15 and then I spent a half hour in their office waiting for my bills...a little long, but whatever, nothing to lose sleep or get upset over. There was another driver in the office who had been there since 7:30am who had a 9am appointment and still had not been backed in at 3:30 and was told it would be another 45 minutes to an hour before they "might" be able to get him in.That would pluck my nerves a little and I can see why he was a little upset with them.

I haul one or two loads a week out of Coca Cola in Paw paw,Michigan. Average time of pick-up is 2.5 hours.
You check-in at a guard shack. You slide trailer tires to the rear. The guard gives you a pass. You take the pass to the office. Office person takes your pass and tells you to monitor channel 13 on the cb for instructions.
It is not a great place to go but,it could be worse. Average time 2.5 hours. I have been there several times and will be there several more.

I am at Paw Paw on Wed. and Fridays. I have a 9am appointment. I drive a red WesternStar pulling a Quickway reefer trailer. If you see me there introduce yourself.

I have delivered and also loaded at Coke in St Charles, IL a few different times. Way early every time. They get me in a door within an hour of check-in and are fast to load/unload. The are very polite there too.
All the Pepsi warehouses I have been to have been completely opposite in all aspects mentioned above.

2 1/2 hours? on a good day maybe... didn't seem to matter that my company had drop trailers in Eagan, and appointment times meant nothing. they loaded it when THEY felt like it.

Alsip, IL I think was the worst of all. Shipping Personnel rude and nasty to OTR drivers, very long wait times, unsecured loads/ forklift drivers trying to sneak in damaged products under the radar. Shrink wrap seemed to be a rare luxury here. Secure the load as best you could and you could still plan on doing lots of restacking and damage control at the receiver.

Some of the small city warehouses were great, and some were equally as nasty.

Mason CIty, IA would not touch trucks till noon or later, gotta do inventory for 5 hours first ya know. Typical, lazy "not my problem" union mentality.

Virginia, MN didn't even have a dock and could get rid of 22 pallets in less than half an hour usually.
