You ever get to Memphis?
Best Tarps in West Memphis has the leightweight material & can custom build tarps to fit your liking. -
I can tell you not to buy them from myteeproducts.com. They do have very light tarps, but they do not hold up to use AT ALL.

You can buy lightweight tarps in alot of places but, ask for made in the USA material. You will pay more but, ya get what you pay for. Most tarp shops will custom build any size in any ounce material you want. I won't buy any thing less that 14 oz.

Best Tarps in West Memphis is good - don't look fancy or anything but in actual use gets the job done. If they had extra row of "D" rings, they'll be nearly perfect. I got one of their 27' x 20' (they are light) and theirs' has a strip below the D rings to protect it from bungee hooks. They have the fast stick on tarp repair kit that's pretty awesome (better than Gorilla tape).
Tri-City Tarp in Granite City, IL has 3 piece (Landstar spec) tarps that are fairly light (slightly heavier gauge on top + lighter material for sides) Soft rubbery texture, got damaged pretty fast though and sometimes shorter 3 pc tarps are a pain (too short for some loads). On the good side,TRI-City will accept your DOT# and not charge you tax on the sales.
All the tarps I have are 8' drop. To be fair to Tri-City, I don't have nearly as much problem since I finally got enought felt paddings (four 15' x 10') and started to use ropes instead of bungees. If I'd start over again, I would get 2 (27x 20') 4' drop with 4' add-ons for my money.BAYOU Thanks this. -
I carry standard sized steel and lumber tarps. I also have a smoke tarp made from an old steel tarp that got wrecked. I've also taken another wrecked tarp and made myself some 4' x 20 some foot strips. I use those around the bottom when I have a load that is too tall for a regular lumber tarp. Never had an issue yet with a load getting wet or dirty when using them.

Just got my tarps and any reputable company will tell you the light weight do not hold up. Most will recommend using lighter material on sides. Went with 3 pc on lumber tarps for pc weight. Mytee products had the best price overall. Can be hard to reach as they are smaller but shipping was fast once all was figured out.
Tri City was the highest price of all the major companies but fast turn around if you want something custom. But if you go by shop in Granit City you will see why they charge more. More business than they can handle.
