Hello:
I joined this site because I have been thinking about becoming a Professional Driver for sometime, but have been unable to find satisfactory and encouraging answers to some questions and concerns. I am hoping the people and drivers on this site can help me make the right decisions to take the plunge.
Hello...Happy Holidays everyone!

Welcome to the forum.
First couple of years will be pretty tough for a new driver. After that youll learn big companies are never the answer. Youll find a small company to work for, and live semi-happily ever after.
OMG, I rock; semi-happy. I just made that up.
Can I have my cookie please?
123456 Thanks this. -
Welcome to the forum. Take everything you read here with a grain of salt.... It's human nature to post the negative and hold back the positive. There's 2 sides to every story.
Do some heavy research for yourself. Talk to drivers at a truck stop. Do whatever is necessary until you feel confident you can make an educated decision. -

Thank you ALL for making me feel so welcome!! Thank you for the encouraging words...I'm a 50+ 'American Dream gone bad' victim (not a novelty these days) who is faced with what do I want to be when I grow up all over again and it isn't easy...BUT, there are still some real good options out there and I just want to make sure I select the one that matches ME the most...Trucking looks like a good one!
I hope everyone had a great Turkey Day and survived Black Friday. Be Safe...OOOHH yeah I almost forgot...Roehl, good Company? I love their 7/7 schedule, that would suit me really well but I live in Mobile Alabama, does anyone know if they recruit from this area and if they will allow 7/7? Any info would be appreciated...Thanks again -
Oh well, never mind about Roehl's flexible schedules, I understand you have to live within 150 miles of the Terminals or Drop Yards...
