I know how you feel Karen! I have been wondering how my lack of employment in general is going to affect my chances or getting a pre-hire from Con-Way which is where I am hoping to go.

I am hoping that the fact that I graduated high school just 2 1/2 years ago, then did some college, then have been a passenger on one of their trucks for the last almost 2 years isnt gonna hurt me but considering my only job experience was a summer job and only lasted 5 months I have no clue whats gonna happen lol.

Personally, I would not work for any of the big corporate companies. They barely keep 50% of new hires for 2 years. But they found profit in the turn around.
Try a local mom & pop company. I think you'll find better relationships and come home daily.
The $$$ is not worth long haul for me.

If you entered an intersection on a YELLOW light, I guarantee it was RED by the time you went thru.....meaning you ran a red light.

Someone mentioned that if part of your truck is in the intersection when the light turns red then you have run the Red light. Well..... you haven't driven in the Dubuque area of Iowa, there are lights there where when it just turns green and you start to drive through, being the first one at the light, it will be Red before the back of your trailer has crossed the line.

ive tried, hopelessly to find a price on this truck. could someone point me in the right direction of a place that can give me the price or just tell me how many limbs it will cost me? thanks.

I was (am?) a stay at home dad. With the exception of a 6 month interim position, I was out of work from today back to 10/05. I have a prehire from Roehl and am headed to their school starting 12/6. They made me get affidavits from two people stating I was not working and was raising kids.

    So, there is hope.

    Hope this helps

It may not be available in the U.S.
Mnay vehicles are not allowed in the U.S.
Ford, GM both make cars that exceed 40MPG all day. But they are illegal here as there MPG are to high for the American iol cartels.

I know it's already been answered, but... I'll reiterate.

I was laid off in 2008, collected unemployment for 6 months. For the remainder of the ~2 year period, I was either "under" employed or "self" employed (same thing isn't it?) or just flat out UN employed. For the periods that I was self employed, or UN employed, I had to provide a statement of such with 2 witnesses for each. For the period that I collected unemployment, they counted that as employed and I had to correct my application to show this.

Bottom line is: it shouldn't be hurting you, especially with as many people being unemployed as there are these days. Companies understand that the applicants are often coming to them AFTER having fallen onto hard-times.
