hey there, I was online looking for some good maps to buy for my guy and rather than pick something I like, I wanted to know what the best ones were from those who know. I was looking at "Rand McNally's 2007 motor carriers' road atlas" and "the next exit: USA interstate highway directory". What do you all think? Are there any others that are good? I'm looking for a great truckers atlas and also a truck stop atlas. I'll spend the money, I just want to make sure I get him something that he can use, plus I think it will let him know how much I'm actually supporting him in this new path he has chosen. Thanks for any advice.

I like the cheap Rand-Mcnally. Get a new one every two years. Has updates for trucks in the front.

Look around for a 2006 Rand McNally Truck Drivers Atlas, you can pick up even the spiral bound, laminated page ones for $10-12.

I got my R.M. 2007 spiral, laminated (watch out for that glare) from that amazone place on sale for north of fitty bucks! And if that's "large scale" I don't want to see the small. You guys/gals are doing better than me. :biggrin_2553:

The last one I have is an o4. Deluxe, lam, list for 80 bucks. Pilot used to have them on sale pretty cheap sometimes.

I just picked up a new 06 Large scale for $12 at T/A. It was unfortunately, the last one. Otherwise I just buy the cheapest version, every year or so (usually the binding gives out).
