Good for you. You made the decision you felt was best for you. Right or wrong it was your decision to make, and in my opinion you did the right thing. Like a previous driver stated...now days even if you don't have a computer in the truck if you are involved in an accident.....with any injuries and a lawyer subpoenas your cell phone records and can show the cell phone tower you were "pinging" off of and it doesn't match your log book.... your screwed.

Give me a break....I'm home every weekend, avg, over 3000 miles a week, and I don't have to lie on my log book. If you do the research there are companies that can get you home and you still make good money.

    Dna Mach Thanks this.

Someone needs to check that's engineer's logbook, if he wasn't suppose to be there at that time, it's his fault!! :biggrin_25525:

I get your point but on the other hand, if everyone followed the rules, their license would never be in danger. It's nice to work for a good company.

I am sure DOT will take that into account. Good luck with that comment.

Are you a driver or not? Just asking because it says no answer.

Check my profile- look at the pictures

That doesn't happen to me. I don't run out of hours.

I will too every night. No need to fudge (lie) either.

Pushing? Not going to happen. Average day is 11 hours total. Thats only Monday thru Friday.

Again, not going to happen. See the above comment

    1. Look up the definition for sanctimonious.

    2. I'm glad you have a cush local job. I wouldn't live in LA for any job. If I could find a local job that matched the pay & benefits I have in my current position I would take it. Until then I'll keep doing what I'm doing, quite happily. I like my Kaiser health insurance, my dental & vision insurance, my paid vacations, being home every weekend & usually a couple of times during the week, hauling freight I enjoy in a part of the country that I love and getting to drive a 379 with a big motor, and a weekly paycheck that puts me well above the median household income for the community I live in.

It's nice to work for a good company.

I know, I work for one.

    Drive safe

I do, I think my 35 year safety record proves it.Capeche?

Only been driving a short time but have been around it my whole life.
I would bet anybody that has drove for a little bit of time has fudged 1 time or more.
    I haven't but i know i might have too.

When I said The MAN, I meant the Fuzz, 5-0, local yokel, county mounty, polar bear, smokey bear, cops, chippies or any other name you would like to use in referring to law enforcement.
